ACID RAINS
is a rain or any else form precipitation ( they are very acidic ,elevated levels of hydrogen ions [low pH] ). Acid rains they are harmful effect for plants and animals.

-building installations catching oxides of sulphur all of and nitrogen from the exhaust fumes emitted to the atmosphere
-limiting burning fuels containing sulphur and her connections, mainly of lignite coal and hard bituminous coal

Acid rain cause many different effects. Kills fish in lakes of North America, Scandinavia, Scotland and Wales. Like other poisons destroying large tracts of forests in northern and central Europe.
Trees are especially vulnerable because the acids accumulate in clouds and mists, which often persist over their crowns. In many European cities being destroyed statues and stone buildings, let alone speak of metal structures, steel bridges and fences. Acid rain also attacks certain types of concrete, poison the plants which we eat.

Impact on trees and growing.

Acid rains cause some processes of the atrophy forests, the undergrowth and other plants.
In Poland major part of trees is damaged and in the future they will become endangered.
The main causes of the atrophy of the are trees :
- damage of leaves - acid rains destroy a protectiwe layer of the wax on leaves and needles so respiratory stomata are damaged. This proccess causes an excessive water evaporation. The photosynthesis is disrupted. The trees are sensitive to climate conditions such as temperature, humidity and winds. Leaves decolorize, dry and fall in effect of this procces. Leaves become visible memorial of environmental degradation because of the impact of acid rains.

- Damage of roots. Acid rains acidified the soil damaging of the root system. Excess acids disrupt the economy of growth substances and enzymes. Acid rains elute copper. magnesium, calcium and other nutrients that are necessary for plants' life. It causes a decline in growth, a premature aging of plants , and a loss of biological resilence against diseases and insects. Lichens and mosses are the most sensitive to the pollution because they haven't got a protective layer of the wax. They collet water directly through stalks and leaves. So, their condition, you can define a degree of contamination of the zone of the environment.
